Marketplace - Submit Requests for Liveries & Sceneries

The Marketplace is the dedicated place on Flightsim.to where community members can submit requests for sceneries or liveries, and creators can accept and fulfill them. It helps connect users who are looking for specific content with creators who are willing to bring those requests to life. If you are looking for a specific livery for your aircraft or a scenery for your favorite airport, you can create a request and make it visible to creators. If a creator decides to complete it, they will earn rewards in the form of Karma points: 400 Karma for fulfilling the request, plus an additional 10 Karma for every follower who has shown interest in that request. This gives creators a real incentive to pick up popular ideas.

It is important to note that the Marketplace is exclusively for requests relating to liveries and sceneries. No other content types may be requested. All requests made through the Marketplace are intended for freeware projects, which means that once completed, the resulting livery or scenery will be freely available to the entire community.

Timespan Of Requests

Every request has a natural lifespan. Standard requests remain active for 90 days. If no creator fulfills the request during that time, it will automatically be removed. However, there are two exceptions: requests that have gathered more than 10 followers will stay active beyond the 90 days, and requests that have Platform Credit added to them will also remain visible. Still, no request can live forever β€” anything older than one year will be deleted no matter how many followers it has attracted.

Adding Platform Credit

Platform Credit plays an important role in the Marketplace. Users can choose to add credit to their requests in order to increase visibility and encourage members of the Creators Program to take them on. These requests never expire and stay open until they are completed or until the requester decides to withdraw them. If a credited request is not fulfilled within 90 days, the requester may ask to have the credit refunded back to their account.

Because the Marketplace receives a high number of requests, we strongly recommend topping up your request with Platform Credit to give it a higher chance of being noticed and completed. The completion rate for paid requests is twice as high as for regular requests.

Only members of the Flightsim.to Creators Program can accept paid requests.

Limits

To maintain a fair and spam-free environment, there are limits on how many requests a user can create. Normal users may submit up to three active requests at a time, while Premium Members may submit up to six. These limits do not apply to requests that have Platform Credit attached.

Rules for the Marketplace Section

Please read and follow these rules carefully before submitting a request in the Marketplace. Your request will be deleted without notice if you fail to follow any of the rules below.

  1. Category Selection: Choose the correct category for your request. If no suitable category exists, select β€œOther Liveries”.

  2. Title Format

    • Use the required title format. Do not write in all caps or all lowercase.

    • For Liveries: Category Name - Aircraft Registration - Livery Name

      • Example: Asobo B747 - N952CA - National Airlines

    • For Sceneries: ICAO - Airport Name - City Name

      • Example: KJFK - John F. Kennedy - New York City

  3. One Request, one Item: Submit separate requests for each livery or scenery. Do not combine multiple requests into a single submission.

  4. Screenshots & Copyright Upload high-quality screenshots that clearly show what you are requesting. Make sure you own the rights to any images you upload.

  5. Avoid Duplicate Requests: Before creating a new request, use the search function to check if a similar or identical request already exists. If it does, follow or support that request instead of creating a duplicate.

  6. Be Specific: Provide clear and detailed information about what you want to have created. Vague or incomplete requests may not be considered fulfilled later.

How To Delete a Request

To delete a request, open the page of the specific request. You will see a Delete button next to the Report / Flag button. A request can only be deleted if all of the following conditions are met:

  • Request status is Pending (Open, not In Progress or Completed)

  • Less than 15 followers on that request

  • No Platform Credits attached

  • Request has been online for at least 10 days
