Early Access Campaigns

Early Access on Flightsim.to allows creators to release their add-ons or new versions to supporters before they become publicly available. As a user, you can support creators by purchasing Early Access with Platform Credits and receive immediate early access to new content. After the Early Access period ends, the add-on or selected version becomes free for everyone. This article explains how Early Access works for both creators and users.
To be able to set up Early Access campaigns, you must be a verified member of the Flightsim.to Creators Program.
π· What Is Early Access?
Early Access is an optional program that lets creators release new add-ons or new versions early to supporters. Creators can choose the duration of the Early Access phase, which is either three, five or seven days. Creators may also choose a minimum price in Platform Credits. Early Access helps creators to gain support during development, build anticipation for future public releases and earn Platform Credits. Early Access campaigns end automatically when the timer expires - upon the end of the campaign, the content will be available for free to everyone as usual.

Accessing Early Access Downloads
After purchase, you can download all Early Access-protected versions, keep access throughout the campaign and retain supporter badges even after Early Access ends. When the campaign ends, the protected versions automatically become public.

End of an Early Access Campaign
If an Early Access Donation Goal is enabled, a progress bar will show the amount required before the goal is met. If the goal is met, the content will be immediately unlocked and the Early Access phase ends. If the goal is not met during Early Access, the Early Access automatically ends after three, five or seven days, depending on the creators applied setting.
You can choose to be notified when an Early Access resource becomes available for general access, or you can donate to unlock access instantly.
Visibility of Early Access Campaigns
Flightsim.to features Early Access add-ons with dedicated and featured placements on the platform, including Early Access badges to enhance visibility. Once an Early Access campaign ends, the file will be relaunched and moved to the top of the new releases list.
Flightsim.to Premium Members
Flightsim.to Premium members can unlock one Early Access campaign free of charge each month. Any donations made in this way will not count towards the donation goal, and the content creator will not receive compensation.
Who can use Early Access?
Early Access is not available to everyone. You must be a member of the Flightsim.to Creators Program to be eligible. Furthermore, you will need to have posted at least one high quality resource previously, met certain quality requirements and have had enough positive interactions with the community. We have introduced Early Access to support high-quality content creators who develop add-ons for a broad audience. As such, we reserve the right to evaluate whether the Early Access phase is appropriate for the content at our discretion.
Rules for Early Access
Please note that any abuse of the Early Access campaigns will not be tolerated. For example, you may not delete your mods once they are out of Early Access or restrict access in any way or create multiple Early Access campaigns for the same mod. As with all commercialisation, please ensure that you have the appropriate licences and rights in place before proceeding.
