Deleting your uploaded mods on Flightsim.to
Written By Flightsim.to

If you wish to remove a file you’ve uploaded to Flightsim.to, you can do so yourself at any time through your File Management page. Please follow these steps carefully.
🔧 How to Delete Your Uploaded File
Go to your My Uploads page: https://flightsim.to/user/my-uploads.
Find the file you want to remove and click “Manage” or “Modify”.
In the file management view, open the “Visibility” tab.
Scroll to the bottom and click on the “Delete” button.
Confirm your decision in the dialog that appears.
⚠️ Important: Deleting a file is permanent and cannot be undone. When you delete your upload, you will lose all Karma Points, Likes, Statistics, and any Rewards associated with the file. The file will be removed from search, collections, and user libraries, however, this can take several hours.
Please make sure you really want to delete it before proceeding.
⏸️ Alternative: Temporarily Disable Downloads
If you simply want to pause access to your mod (for example, while preparing an update or fixing an issue), you don’t have to delete it. This allows you to stop new downloads without losing your file’s data, ratings, and history. You can re-enable it anytime.
Instead:
Open your file’s Visibility tab.
Change the Status from “Public” to “Stop Downloads”
🚫 Files Linked to Requests
If your uploaded file was created as a response to a user request on the Flightsim.to Marketplace, you cannot delete it directly for contractual and fairness reasons. In this case, please contact support and provide a valid reason for your deletion request (for example: copyright, ownership change, or technical issue). Our team will review your request and assist accordingly.
🕒 Deletion Restrictions for Libraries and Featured Uploads
Please note that certain uploads are subject to special retention rules:
Libraries and files that have been previously featured by Flightsim.to (e.g., on the homepage or in newsletters) cannot be removed immediately.
These files will remain online for up to 90 days after your deletion request has been submitted.
During this period, the file may be hidden from public listings but will stay accessible to ensure proper handover and continuity for users who depend on it.
After the 90-day period, the file will be permanently deleted from the platform.
⚠️ Important: Deleted Files Cannot Be Reuploaded
Once a file has been deleted from Flightsim.to, it cannot be uploaded again under the same or a similar name. This rule helps preserve version integrity, prevent abuse, and maintain consistent download histories for users. If you want to release a new version or make major changes to your mod:
Do not delete your existing upload. Instead, use the “Upload Update” function available on your file’s management page. This ensures your update is properly tracked, your existing users receive notifications, and you retain your Karma, likes, and download stats.
